Occupational Health Provision to Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SME's). Services are tailored to meet the customers requirements. The emphasis is on assisting SME's to comply with legal requirements and supports the business in the maintenance of the health of the workforce.
Risk assessments and OH training for managers and employees, plus health surveillance and pre-employment health assessment.
Tendering for Occupational Health Services. We can act as an independent adjudicator, advise on your service requirements and ensure you select a provider that meets your essential business needs".
Independent advice and assistance in the preparation of tender documents for occupational health services.
Support in Formulating Occupational Health and Safety Policies for your business. Preparation of and writing policies, to ensure compliance with health and safety legal requirements.
Drug and Alcohol Policy Development. Assistance to develop Substance Abuse Policies which are workable and meet the cultural and functional needs of your business. This will include advice on the appropriateness of drugs and alcohol testing in the workplace.

About Cynthia Atwell

Cynthia has over 30 years experience in occupational health practice in a variety of working environments including heavy engineering, food, agriculture, milling, health service, local government and transportation. She is also a qualified teacher and spent 5 years teaching occupational health and remains a visiting lecturer to the Universities of Birmingham, Surrey and Wolverhampton.

Cynthia is widely published, including contributing chapters to four professional occupational health publications. She has been member of the editorial panel of the Occupational Health Journal for the past 6 years.

She has served as a member of the Health and Safety Commission 1996-98 and the English National Board for Nursing Midwifery and Health Visiting 1988-93. She is a member of the Association of OH Nurse Practitioners (AOHNP UK); the RCN Society of OH Nurses; OH Managers Forum; British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) and the National Occupational Health Forum.

With her wide and varied experience in occupational health practice and management, Cynthia is now working independently as an 'Occupational Health Consultant' and is able to offer services tailored to customers needs.
